Isaac R. Ruiz-Carus

Isaac Ruiz-Carús received his undergraduate degree, with honors, from Harvard University in 2002, and his law degree, with honors, from the University of Iowa in 2005.

Prior to joining Wilkes & McHugh, P.A. in 2006, Mr. Ruiz-Carús was in solo appellate practice, and was an adjunct professor of philosophy at the University of Tampa.

Mr. Ruiz-Carús has been appellate counsel in more than 75 separate appeals, ranging from criminal to civil matters. His corporate work was cited by the 110th Congress, House Committee on Ways and Means, Joint Committee on Taxation in "Present Law and Analysis Relating to Tax Treatment of Partnership Carried Interests and Related Issues, Part I", (JCX-62-07), Sept. 4, 2007.

Mr. Ruiz-Carús is licensed to practice law in Florida. He is a member of the Florida Bar, the Bar of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and the Bar of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
