Biography

Kevin J. Healey received his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Florida in 2006 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law in 2009, where he earned Dean’s List honors.

Mr. Healey began his career as an assistant state attorney in Jacksonville, Florida, where he gained invaluable trial experience prosecuting crimes from misdemeanors to life felonies. From there, Mr. Healey moved to civil litigation, which he practiced throughout the United States in both state and federal courts, handling contractual disputes, insurance disputes, and health care matters. In representing both individuals and corporations, he has been instrumental in securing numerous multi-million dollar recoveries for his clients.

His experience also includes working as in-house counsel for a home health agency, where he dealt with Medicare compliance issues and other state and federal health care laws and regulations. Immediately prior to joining Wilkes & McHugh, Mr. Healey was a shareholder of a boutique firm in Tampa where he concentrated his practice on complex commercial litigation, as well as insurance disputes.
