Michael Collis received his B.A. in Political Science in 1984 from Washington & Jefferson College and his Juris Doctorate degree in 1988 from Ohio Northern University College of Law where he was a member of Law Review, Street Law, a finalist in the Celebrezee Appellate Moot Court Competition and received the American Jurisprudence book award in Torts.
Prior to joining Wilkes & McHugh in 2005 he was a partner with the law firm of Brennan, Robins & Daley where he practiced personal injury, medical malpractice, products liability and workers compensation where he handled a wide variety of cases and has been counsel on published appellate and Supreme Court opinions in the practice areas of insurance law, Terminato vs. Penn. Nat. Ins. Company, 538 Pa. 60, 645 A.2d 1287 (1994); property rights, Mahoney v Hampton Township, 539 Pa. 193, 651 A.2d 525 (1995); personal injury, Gray v Logue, 654 A.2d 109 (Pa. Commonwealth 1995); products liability, Duchess vs Langston Corp., 709 A.2d 410 (1998) and medical malpractice, Schroeder v Jacquiss, 580 Pa. 381, 861 A.2d 885 (2004).
