Jury awards $18 million in wrongful-death case against Berea nursing home
The family of Eliza Jennings, 94, was awarded $18 million in a wrongful death lawsuit following claims of neglect at The Terrace Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Berea, Kentucky. Jennings developed several bone-deep bedsores, including one that left her nerve endings exposed. She also contracted infections, such as E.coli.
"The facts of this case are horrific," said Corey Fannin, the Wilkes & McHugh, P.A. attorney who represented Jennings' estate.
