Biography

Mr. Wayne Freeland earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from American Public University System in Charles Town, West Virginia, before completing his Juris Doctor at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, Arizona State University. While in law school he was a member of the Law Students for Veterans's Legal Issues and Executive Editor of the Law Journal for Social Justice. Mr. Freeland was awarded the 2016 Paul Holloway Trial Advocacy Award and was named the 2016 Trial Advocacy Fellow. 

Prior to joining Wilkes & McHugh, Mr. Freeland served as a paralegal specialist in the U.S. Air Force. He served at both foreign and domestic bases, including those in Iraq and Kuwait. More recently, he worked as a law clerk for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Phoenix, a law intern in the Mesa, Arizona, Prosecutor's Office, and a law intern in the U.S. District Court Office of Hon. James A. Teilborg in Phoenix. Mr. Freeland also worked as a law clerk for Wilkes & McHugh before joining the firm as an attorney.
